Programme Overview

Objective:
To raise awareness of peri-menopause and menopause among African and BAME women, improve understanding of symptoms, provide management strategies, and reduce stigma.

Target Population:
Women aged 40–60 from African, Caribbean, and BAME backgrounds.

Expected Outcomes:

  • Improved symptom knowledge
  • Better management of physical & emotional symptoms
  • Increased confidence engaging with healthcare
  • Improved wellbeing and EQ-5D
  • QALY gains

Case Study — “Razia” (Menopause Programme)

“I was struggling and didn’t know who to talk to. The menopause sessions helped me understand what was happening to my body. I don’t feel scared anymore. The women in the group feel like family now.”

Lessons Learned
